To inculcate knowledge, add value to learners and nurture their talents through provision of quality Education for self reliance.

Leave Hema Secondary School a better place than you found it.

On behalf of the fraternity of Hema Secondary School – Chitago, l hereby take this opportunity to thank our Almighty Lord for sustaining us all from the time we parted for December 2012 recess till now. The Lord had made it possible for resumption of our programmes in this first term of the year 2013.

I wish to note that God has been gracious to us in the past years by granting us great success in many spheres. Towards this end, we have been enjoying peace and tranquility, thus an enabling environmental for our effective service delivery. It is our strong conviction and prayer that our good Lord will grant us His mercies and success in the year 2013.

We conducted the start of the year staff meeting on January 7th 2013. The meeting was attended by both teaching and non-teaching staff to lay logistics for operations of 2013 first term programmes and activities. Our students officially reported for first term programmes on January 8th 2013 at 7.00a.m.

As we commence the year 2013, may l commend and appreciate various stake holders who contributed to our success in the past year and humbly appeal to them to continue sacrificing towards supporting and partnering with us in the year 2013.

First, l most sincerely appreciate our teaching staff for their collective efforts and dedication to their duties. They always embrace professional discipline and the spirit of extra mile in service delivery. Similarly, l thank our students, parents, guardians and support staff for immense support.

Further, l thank and appreciate our P.T.A and B.O.G members led by Messers Mogire Obaga and Joseph Giteya Mabiria respectively for being instrumental to considerable success we have registered up to date. We pray that they continue with the same spirit in 2013.

The  DEO`s office in Masaba South district under Mr. Jackton Gangre has been quite supportive in giving us necessary direction on policy and issues among others. Equally our suppliers and general partners such as Wema Bookshop, Pritex School suppliers, Purpose enterprises and Kebocco Agencies among others, for their understanding and support especially during our difficulty times. Please continue with the same spirit.

I wish to assure the public that our teaching force is intact. We therefore promise our clients, parents and guardians quality service delivery this year 2013

CAT series exams are underway without any hitch. Parents must ensure that their sons and daughters take all the programmed exams without failure. On the other hand, we have embarked on KCSE 2013 registration of candidates. We therefore urge parents to pay exam registration fees before the end of February 2013.

The school is looking forward to admitting Form one students during this month of February. Our admission criteria is 250 marks and above. Interested guardians and parents should get in touch with our examination office for advise immediately.

The school boys` dormitory project dream is still in place. We have acquired natural stones, ballast and metal bars courtesy of well wishers assistance. The three storey structure is estimated to cost 4.5 million. We appeal to more well wishers, donors and organizations to come to our rescue to realize the dream. We are experiencing an overwhelming demand for boarding services from the public owing to the outstanding performance of the school in KCSE examinations which stood at 8.20 mean score in the year 2011 and ranked position No.22 naturally in the category of district schools.

Class conferences are scheduled as from this Month of February. Parents and guardians, will get appropriate communication in due course.

There will be periodic updates  in the school`s website on various school activities. We also remind the alumni of Hema Sec, school to visit our website and register giving full details and contacts and where they can be found. Their input is critical in the progress of the school.

In conclusion, l salute all those who have done us proud as a school. We invite them to partner with us in 2013. Thank you very much.

May God bless you all.

James M.Momanyi,

Principal/BOG secretary.
